Another week...another chance...

Have I mentioned that God is good..every day? Well, He is ...and not because I say so...although I DO say so! He says so...

" Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is GOOD; for His loving kindness is everlasting" Psalms 107:1

I am facing a bunch of tests this week and next...had the colonoscopy yesterday. I took so much out of me, more than I would have thought it would.. somehow the procedure ended up triggering a bigger flare up of the pain they are trying to diagnose. So, I have spent more time here in the house--praying and seeking God's answer. He gave me so much peace when I was waiting for the procedure to begin...clearly His peace...

I know He will take care of me..He tells me so, and I believe Him.

MY STORY

My name is Val, and I am a Christian woman, wife, and mom. I have been married for 24 years to my dear husband Craig. We have 4 children ranging in age from 17-23. The oldest three are in college...2 seniors and a sophomore. Our youngest is a high school senior. I am also a military mom. Our oldest son is a sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004-2005. Our youngest is headed to Marine Boot camp in June. We thank ALL our military men and women who so faithfully serve to guard and protect us every day.

I love the Lord with all my heart. I am seeking to serve Him in the way I think, speak, act...I am more and more convinced of the work He still needs to do in me!

I have been dealing with health challenges for years now, and pray that God can use them to help me help others. I am willing to share my experience at any time, with anyone who could benefit. I have a history of Pheochromocytoma, Neurofibromatosis (NF1), Thyroid tumors, and Hypoglycemia. Although it sounds like a lot, it is amazing how the Lord can help one to learn to take one moment at a time--I have learned so much about trusting and obeying my Lord--

" The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deut. 31:8

I have been merely walking through the valley...on a journey to a better place! Maybe here on earth--DEFINITELY in Heaven! May God bless you as you read my journal. Please do comment..I am eager to know of your journey too!
